Broccoli Sauté with Ginger, Sesame and Tamari

Ingredients

1 head of broccoli cut into small florets plus the stem sliced
2 tsp finely grated fresh ginger
1 tbsp cooking oil
2-3 green onions, sliced
2 tbsp tamari or a good soy sauce
1 tsp sesame oil
Chilli flakes (optional)
1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds

Directions

Heat cooking oil in a large pan and add ginger and green onion. Stir-fry for a few seconds then add broccoli and stir. Sauté for a few minutes over a medium heat then add the tamari, and sesame oil and chilli flakes if using and cook for another minute or two. Serve with sesame seeds sprinkled on top. Can be served as a side dish or add a protein such as salmon, beef or tofu and serve with rice or noodles for a complete meal. Note: for a nice variation, add shiitake mushrooms.

It's fun and challenging to cook with what's available and the produce is so much fresher than anywhere else. Our family loves them!
