1 c chopped walnuts (optional)
1 ½ c mashed ripe bananas

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, beating well, then add flour, baking soda ,baking powder and salt. Mix well. Add mashed bananas and mix until just combined. Fold in chopped walnuts, if using. Pour batter into a greased loaf pan and bake for about an hour at 175 or until just cooked in the middle.
